June 7th
Welcome to Summer! We have a lot of things to cover, so please read the ENTIRE email.
The pool is open for the summer! The pool hours are as following: Tuesday - Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday-Saturday 1pm -8pm, Sunday 1pm - 6pm.
The pep rally TONIGHT will be at the CiCi's Pizza at 249 and Spring Cypress in the same shopping center as the Kohl's. We will meet there at 6pm. Just go through the line, pay and then take a seat in the area that with the other CUDAS! We will pass out ribbons and just have some time to chat. Bring your current swim-a-thon pledge totals so we can see how close to our goal we are! Ask friends, family, neighbors, and anyone that will listen to your speech if they would be willing to help out.
This Saturday's meet is at Rolling Fork. The address is 9110 Rodney Ray Houston, 77040.
Our warm-up is from 7:45 to 8:15. Parking is allowed on the East side of Waynemer only. Please do not block mailboxes. Please obey all no-parking signs.
Our set-up is outside the pool black gate. There is a viewing area adjacent to the pool. They have six lanes so we will need everyone to time and scribe!
If you have a swimmer participating in the Summer Thunder meet on Sunday at Klein High School, please make sure you have paid your entry fee. It is $5/event and the checks can be made to Landa. Please get that in ASAP.
We will be swimming our laps for Swim-a-thon next Thursday! Make sure your swimmer is gathering pledges on their pledge sheets! Remind them that 5% of their donation will be going to support the Special Olympics of Texas and that the other 95% will be used for our swim team. The donations made to Barracuda Boosters is tax deductible. I will be sending out another email regarding how to get donations from businesses using the 501c3 information.
We are also looking for donations for our final raffle baskets. We have a basket of hair care products for men and women. If you could donate any bows, clips, nail polish, nail clippers, brushes, lotions, body spray for men and women, sunblock, etc.. please give it to Judy Parks. We are also putting together a basket to raffle off at divisionals that is comprised of lottery tickets. When you are at the store or gas station, if you could please pick up a few scratch off tickets (even if it is just one or two), and then bring it to Katie Rohe at practice or at a pep rally. Depending upon how much participation we receive will depend on the number of baskets we have to raffle. We were hoping to have 2-3 baskets.
