    Swim Team News

This week is our last dual meet of the season!  The season has gone by so quickly!

We will have meet set up and pep rally on Friday starting at 5:30.  Dinner will be served, we will have pep rally and ribbon time and get the grounds ready for the HOME meet on Saturday.  If everyone helps, it goes pretty quickly (and there are NEW bungees for the tents!!) Pep rally activity is tie dye, so bring your Cuda shirt or another white shirt to dye!  We will swim at home against the Stone Creek Stingrays on Saturday.  Home meets mean early warm ups so be ready to swim by 7:05 AM.  The timer and scribe volunteer sheet is on the bulletin board. The final home meet of the season means it's time to say "ALOHA" to our seniors.  This year Zach Smith and Blake Ellard will age off!  We usually dress up for aloha meet, so get your pineapple hats, hawaiian shirts and your leis ready for Saturday!

CCRA is hosting a breaststroke and butterfly clinic on Monday at 8:30 AM for all swimmers with legal or nearly legal breast or fly strokes.  There is a $5 admission fee to the clinic which should be paid that day. This is a great opportunity to improve a stroke and shave off a little time before divisionals and earn those invitational times!

Next week is Divisionals week.  The swimmers need to wear "drag" clothes to practice all week to increase resistance.  You can just wear a t-shirt and shorts over your swim suit to create a drag effect.  We will have regular practices Tuesday through Thursday.  Thursday at 6PM we will have Cuda Carb Night to carb load our swimmers for Saturday.  Everyone is asked to bring a carb main dish (pasta, rice, beans, potatoes) to share.  Friday is a no swim, no sun day. Stay rested and get well hydrated for Saturday.  We will go to a movie as a team on Friday. The timer and scribe volunteer sheet will be up this week for divisional work assignments. We will also need help at the raffle table for Divisionals.

Lastly, our US Swimteam website is having email issues so I may have to find another way to send email.  Please watch subject lines for swim team news because the emails may come from varied addresses.  See you at the pool---  Landa
