Divisional Week Info
Congrats to our Cudas that swam in Pentathlon yesterday and all of the Cudas that swam on Saturday against the Wipeouts. Not only are our swimmers crushing times, meeting personal goals, and making friends, but they have been an amazing example of true team spirit and camaraderie.
This week will look different from weeks past as far as swim team activities go. We are beginning our Tapering Week in preparation of Divisional. Tuesday and Wednesday will be normal practice times but Thursday will not have evening practice and there will be no practice on Friday. I will explain:
Thursday is Cuda Carb Night. A signup sheet will be on the board with some Carb Dish categories. Please sign-up to bring something. This will serve as our Pep Rally as well. We will start Thursday night at 6pm.
Friday everyone is to stay out of the sun! Relax and Rest! The team will be going to see Cars 3 at Studio Movie Grill @ 1:30. If you did not give Jennifer money for tickets, check with her and find out what seats we are in. You can still get tickets to the show and we can all sit together.
Saturday is Divisionals. We will swim at Towne Lake against Towne Lake, Prestonwood Forest, and Rolling Fork. This meet will go longer than any of our others have, but even last year with another large team in the mix we were out by 2:30. I will send more specific info out about volunteer needs, parking, tent setup, etc... asap. I am hoping to have it tomorrow.
We have the opportunity to do a photo booth at Divisionals as our fundraising activity. Mr. Pfau has agreed to be the photographer but he will need some help. The timer and scribe commitment will not be as large this meet, so if this is something you would like to help with, please let me know.
One more item to add to your calendar. Our annual awards night with be Tuesday June 27th starting around 5pm. More info to come.
I think that is it for now. If you have any questions, please call or text, or shoot me an email. I will not be at practice this week, but Julie Lundquist (Anna and Rune's mom) will be there for most times.
Thank you parents again for helping make this season so awesome!
