2023 Pentathlon Invitational
The time for our second mid-season invitational is coming up soon. For the Pentathlon Invitational each swimmer competes in all four strokes and the IM, for a combined total time. To qualify, swimmers need to have obtained a combined time for all those events that is below an age specific qualifying time. There is a chart posted on the wall between the restrooms that reviews the eligibility of our swimmers as of last weekend. For those 8 and under swimmers who would like to participate, the time standards do not include the IM, but they’ll need an entry time to submit – so if they don’t have a time we’ll need to get a time-trial time at practice.
If your family would like to participate, meet entries are now open on our website. The meet organizers will start accepting entries Sunday June 4th at 1:00 PM, so entries will be due by Sunday morning by 7. The meet entry fee is $35, for all five events. The way Pentathlon is set up, Swimtopia is unable to check if each swimmer is qualified, so aggregate times have to be calculated manually. Please check that your swimmer has met the combined time standard before signing up. If your swimmer needs to take a little time off, this Saturday’s times will count.
Let us know if you have any questions, either by replying or asking up at the pool.
