Cudas, Tuesday is the day!  Our swim season begins with our first practice on Tuesday at 4:45 (advance group), 5:45 (beginner), 6:20 (intermediate).  If you are unsure of which practice group your swimmer is in, first check the email Coach Melissa sent out and then email me if you still have questions.  

Don't forget to bring your sponsorship information and swim team payments.  

The first week of practice is always chaotic.  Please pack extra patience and grace as we navigate the next few weeks making sure everyone is safe and where they need to be.  The water will be chilly.  Bring warm towels (stick them in the dryer before you come to heat them up and then put them in a cooler) and warm clothes for your swimmers to put on when they get out of the water!

I have mentioned this before, and you will hear it many more times, swim team is a TEAM effort.  It takes not only the swimmers doing their best in the water, but also the parents working together to foster a team spirit and ultimately a community.  There are many different aspects of this team that need volunteers. Be thinking now how you can best help.  I currently have the following needs (with more to come):

• someone to coordinate the remaining fundraisers (and feel free to add any that you think would be beneficial to the team).  I have a few more Spirit Nights on the books and a Nothing Bundt Cake bundlet sale that I need someone to spearhead.
• someone to coordinate our social media posts.  
• someone to coordinate our annual CUDA day at the movies (could be a movie night as well)
• officials (stroke and turn, starter, refs (refs I need you to retest))

If you know you are really great in a particular area that would benefit the team, please let me know!  I would love to be able to take advantage of that skill to help strengthen our team!

As always, let me know if you have any questions!  We will have a short parent meeting in the pavilion during each practice on Tuesday.  There will be NO parent meeting on Monday.
