    Time Trials info

The fun of swim team is getting ready to kick in full gear! Time Trials are Saturday morning and I wanted to explain a little about it. This is a practice meet. The swimmers will learn how to "take their marks", learn what the buzzer sounds like, and learn what a race day feels like. I am asking all Officials to please be in the Official dress code for time trials. If you want to warm up before trials start please be at the pool at 8am Saturday morning.

By NWAL rules, all swimmers must have a time in their event before the first official meet, so if you cant make it Saturday let us know. We will do make-up times this Friday May 3 and Wednesday May 8 at 5:30-6 for those who can not make it to Time Trials. Please make sure you make it to one of the make ups.

Coach Melissa will decide which events she would like your child to swim in for time trials. If they are not proficient in a specific stroke, they will most likely not be asked to swim it Saturday. As they become more proficient, we will be able to get a time on them later in the season.

We will have a Pep Rally Friday night after the last practice. We will be setting up for the meet for Saturday. We need all parents to volunteer in some capacity, with setup and take down and during the swim meet. Timers and Scribes are the most needed during the swim meet. There will be a signup sheet at practice for the rest of the week. We are also asking that parents either bring a dessert, waters, drinks, salad, ect. or donate $5 for help with the cost of pizza for the Pep Rally.

I hope this helps in clearing up some questions for Saturday. If you have further questions, please feel free to ask! Looking forward to a great swim season!
