First Day of Practice
Congratulations Cudas on a great first practice! We had so many swimmers we ran out of hot chocolate! Don't worry, there is a huge cooler ready to be used for practice tomorrow. :)
It was great seeing all the new faces and getting to visit a bit with several of you. I look forward to having the chance to talk to more of you at practice this week. As most of you know, the first day of practice is always a day of assessment and requires much flexibility. It is very similar to the first day of school! Thank you for being patient with us as we navigate this first week getting to know your swimmer's abilities and learning how to best help him/her meet their individual goals for the season. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I am pretty accessible during most days and will try to get back with you asap if I am not immediately available.
A few things for tomorrow: There will be a sign-in table when you come in to practice tomorrow. This will allow us to keep track of who is at each practice and best strategize on organizing our swimmers. Please bring warm pants and a dry sweatshirt for your kids after they get out of the pool. It definitely helps the warm-up process after being in the cold water.
I am sure there is something I am missing. I plan to send a recap email most nights this week and next. Once we get the routine down, it will get a lot smoother and easier! Looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow.
